-
Only delegates can request to take the floor.
-
Sessions on day 1 of the Conference (sessions 1 – 5) will involve
presentations followed by the floor being opened for questions on
the topic of the respective session.
-
No pre-registration of questions on day 1 is sought nor required.
-
Sessions on day 2 of the Conference (sessions 6 – 10) are planned to
enable delegates from the Public Authorities (including Governments,
National Anti-Doping Organizations and related intergovernmental and
collective organizations) and the Sports Movement (including the
IOC, IPC, International Federations, National Olympic and Paralympic
Committees, related sports and non-governmental organizations) with
the opportunity to make an intervention on the review of the World
Anti-Doping Code.
-
Delegates wishing to contribute to the work of the Conference in the
form of an intervention must register their interest prior to the
Conference by 26 October 2007 to the Conference
Management
(worldconference2007@wada-ama.org / Fax +1 514 904 8772). Please
provide the name and official title of the delegate who is to make
the intervention.
-
Priority will be given to registered interventions. The Conference
Chairman, at his discretion, may invite delegates who have not pre-registered
their interventions, but preference will be accorded to those who
have.
-
During the Public Authority dedicated sessions on day 2 (sessions 7
and 8), due to time limitations, one intervention per country will
be permitted in order to provide as many countries in attendance
with the opportunity to make an intervention. If more then one
request for an intervention is received from the same country (i.e.
from a Government and a National Anti-Doping Organization), WADA
will request coordination of one intervention only.
-
During the Sports Movement dedicated sessions on day 2 (sessions 9
and 10), one intervention per organization will be permitted in
order to provide as many opportunities for those in attendance to
make an intervention.
-
Interventions will be limited to three minutes per intervention.
Those which run overtime may be stopped by the Conference Chairman.
-
Once an intervention request is received, confirmation of receipt of
the request will be sent via e-mail.
-
WADA will be responsible for coordinating the list and order of
interventions.
-
Delegates wishing to contribute to the work of the Conference in the
form of an intervention are encouraged to provide a copy of their
written document in English, French and/or Spanish, via e-mail to
the Conference Management
(worldconference2007@wada-ama.org) by 2 November 2007.
-
Written documents should be a maximum of two A4 pages in length.
-
Documents submitted in one language only will not be translated by
the organizers. If authors wish for their document to be available
in two or three languages (English, French and/or Spanish), they
must make their own arrangements to have their documents translated.
-
Documents will be posted on the Conference Web site as soon as
possible after the session in which their intervention
was made and copies will be made available (in limited quantities)
at the Conference.
-
Non-delegate participants may also send a written contribution in
English, French or Spanish to WADA
(worldconference2007@wada-ama.org). They cannot be guaranteed
intervention time during the Conference.
-
No document may be distributed to the participants at the Conference
without the prior agreement of WADA.
